Mr. Tsujii was nice enough to sit down and speak with me (in depth) about the inner workings of elections administration, from security to the process itself.
Many do not understand the care and attention election officials have when administering elections. Tsujii is a passionate public official and illustrates how complicated — yet simple — managing elections can be (when done properly).
For those interested in getting involved in government or even politics, listening to this will enlighten you on how it actually works. We often view government as a black box of complex policies and procedures (which, it is), but this interview shows how human the process and institution is. Enjoy this wonderful discussion! I know I did!
This interview begins with Mr. Tsujii’s career and careens into local governmental mechanics.
Interviewer: Troy Chavez, M.P.A. is a PhD candidate at Liberty University with a masters in public administration and works in government doing community relations.
